Acts 2:42-47, Return to the healthy early church

What is the model of a healthy church that God wants? It is the early church.

1. It is a church that diligently learns the Word (Nurturing, Didache) (42, 1The. 2:13, Acts17:11, Lk.8:15)

  A healthy church (congregants) gathered every day and devoted themselves to learning the Word. 42, “They received the teaching of the apostles.” The Word is like the root, framework, and seed of faith. Without the Word, we are like foam, a tree with only leaves, a shaking reed, or an empty can. Healthy people have a good appetite, eat well and digest well. If you are around them, you will also eat well. The Word of God is the same. A spiritually healthy person humbly reads the Bible and learns it diligently(Sponge believer). 1 The.2:13, They received as the word of God. Lk.8:15, “Seed of good soil.” Acts17:11, “Zeal of the Berean saints.” They learned the Word from the apostles. Learn the Old and New Testaments well. Humbly learn the Word well, deeply encounter Jesus Christ, who is light, truth, and life, eat the Word of grace, overflow with joy and peace, grow mature in faith, and become a good community that practices the love of Jesus.

2. It is a church (Kerygma) that diligently evangelizes (47, 5:42, Mt.28:19, 20, Acts1:8, 1 Cor.9:16, Lk.14:15)

3. It is a church (Leiturgia) that worships diligently (42, 46, 47, 1:14).

  What are the 10 blessings of a worshiper?(Franklin Ziegler) Experience all of these blessings during worship. Look at the apostle John. Victory was achieved through worship. According to the traditions of the early church, worship, praise, prayer, and Holy Communion were held. The miracle of 5 barley loaves and 2 fish, the miracle of 7 barley loves. Rev.3:20, “I will eat with him, and he with me.” They devoted himself to daily prayer at the church(47). The Early Church is our eternal faith model church. They diligently learned the Word of the Lord. They worshiped God diligently. Apostles zealously preached Jesus. They met God, had fellowship in Him, and gained meaning and purpose in His life. They become blessed people who find refuge and peace, were healed from wounds, comforted from sorrow, and experienced forgiveness of sins. They zealously preached the gospel. They hoped everyone grows into a healthy church.
