13-22,
 13.So Boaz took Ruth and she became his wife. When he made love to her, the Lord enabled her to conceive, and she gave birth to a son. 14.The women said to Naomi: “Praise be to the Lord, who this day has not left you without a guardian-redeemer. May he become famous throughout Israel! 15.He will renew your life and sustain you in your old age. For your daughter-in-law, who loves you and who is better to you than seven sons, has given him birth.”
16.Then Naomi took the child in her arms and cared for him. 17.The women living there said, “Naomi has a son!” And they named him Obed. He was the father of Jesse, the father of David. 18.This, then, is the family line of Perez: Perez was the father of Hezron, 19.Hezron the father of Ram, Ram the father of Amminadab, 20.Amminadab the father of Nahshon, Nahshon the father of Salmon, 21.Salmon the father of Boaz, Boaz the father of Obed, 22.Obed the father of Jesse, and Jesse the father of David.

 The book of Ruth is the story of God fulfilling a holy purpose. Phil. 2:13, for it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose. God grants that purpose. To do this, Ruth chooses her mother-in-law and God (ch.1) and gleans to support her(ch.2). She proposes to Boaz(ch.3). She marries him and gives birth to Obed, David's grandfather (ch.4). In the end, Naomi fulfills her holy wish of restoring her inheritance and family. What is our holy wish?

1. Meet your God where you are (1:16, Am.4:12).
 What are you looking for? God? Environment? Ex.15-17, God is with us even if we do not have food or water, even if we have enemies. The problem is the mind, not the environment. Now, do you meet God here? The key is God/promise, not circumstances/weak self. Naomi & Ruth seek God as the answer in difficult circumstances(Col.2:2). Am.4:12, “Therefore this is what I will do to you, Israel, and because I will do this to you, Israel, prepare to meet your God.”  Darkness is now an opportunity to meet God. Now, let's meet our God deeply here. Like the young widow Ruth, let's meet God in despair & live a blessed life.

2. Meet Jesus Christ deeply(3:3,6).
 3:3,6, 3 Wash, put on perfume, and get dressed in your best clothes. Then go down to the threshing floor, but don’t let him know you are there until he has finished eating and drinking. 6 So she went down to the threshing floor and did everything her mother-in-law told her to do.
 Poor Ruth goes out to glean in Boaz's field to support her mother-in-law, &goes down to the threshing floor at night to propose to him, & lies at his feet. When she is low, she meets Jesus who came to the low place. She regains lost inheritance and family. Let's live a blessed life in which we deeply meet Jesus Christ who came to a lowly position on this earth.

3. Be united with Jesus Christ(13).
 Ruth wants to be united with Boaz (3:9, “Who are you?” he asked. “I am your servant Ruth,” she said. “Spread the corner of your garment over me, since you are a guardian-redeemer† of our family.”). According to the will of the Lord, Boaz married the hopeless Ruth and had a precious son(4:13). Faith life is union with the Lord (Rev.3:20). The indwelling of the Holy Spirit(Jn.3:5). If you believe in Jesus, your heart/thoughts/words/values will change. You rejoices always, prays without ceasing, and gives thanks in everything (1Thes.5:16-18). The genealogy of Adam changes to the genealogy of Jesus. The Lord's wish is the blessing of a new life. 13, “... the Lord... made her pregnant, and she bore a son.” Life is given by God. Now all tragedy and suffering is gone. New Life Obed gives you three precious things.

1. He makes us sing praises to the Lord/14. The women said to Naomi: “Praise be to the Lord, who this day has not left you without a guardian-redeemer. May he become famous throughout Israel!

2. He makes everyone taste good. 15-16. 15.He will renew your life and sustain you in your old age. For your daughter-in-law, who loves you and who is better to you than seven sons, has given him birth.” 16.Then Naomi took the child in her arms and cared for him. The baby became her restorer of life and supporter of old age. 

3. He becomes David's ancestor. 17-22; Mt.1:5-6.
 17, The women living there said, “Naomi has a son!” And they named him Obed. He was the father of Jesse, the father of David. Mt.1:5-6, 5 Salmon the father of Boaz, whose mother was Rahab, Boaz the father of Obed, whose mother was Ruth, Obed the father of Jesse, 6 and Jesse the father of King David. David was the father of Solomon. 

 God is the one who gives and fulfills holy wishes (Phil.2:13). Amazing blessings are given to Naomi, a woman of pain and sorrow. He makes the impossible possible. A blessed son is born through Ruth, a Gentile widow who was despised. Ruth's son soon makes Naomi a restorer of life and a supporter in her old age. Naomi, who lived with bitter tears after burying her two dead sons in her breasts, sheds tears of emotion as she embraces the baby given to her through her precious daughter-in-law, Ruth. He also makes the baby's name 'Obed' famous among Israel. A great-grandson, David, is born and becomes the founder of the great messianic kingdom. Furthermore, He becomes the ancestors of Jesus Christ, the Savior of mankind. The genealogy of Perez is full of God's grace and mercy. He gives grace to those who are strangers and cannot become God's people. He not only makes them noble royalty, but also makes them the ancestors of the Messiah.

 Beloved saints, you are Naomi, Ruth, and Boaz who will fulfill God's holy desire. God wants that wish to come true. Are there sorrows and pains? Are there things that seem impossible? Do you have despair? The Lord will turn sorrow and pain into joy and happiness. He will make the impossible possible. He will turn despair into hope. Do you think you are a sinner and forsaken? The God of grace is merciful and compassionate to anyone who returns to the bosom of His Lord. He will make the grace of restoration abundant. He will restore his honorable name. Jesus came to us to become the Goel of all mankind. All of us who believe in Jesus Christ, who suffered the cross for us and was resurrected, are forgiven of our sins and live a new life. Like Naomi and Ruth, let us fulfill God's holy wish. Meet God and Jesus deeply and unite with the Lord. As those who have received the grace and mercy of the Lord, save souls, praise God, and bless everyone to be used as noble royalty. I wish you to live as a blessed protagonist who has achieved this holy wish. Amen.
