Ezekiel 10:1-22 Scatter the burning coals over the city (Temple Vision, Chs 8-11)

Chapters 8-11 of Ezekiel are a vision of the temple. Ch11 is about the one who saves life(Christ before the incarnation) being purified with the burning coal of the altar. What is the lesson for today?

1. Scatter the burning coals over the city (1-8)

Just as the prophet Isaiah was purified by touching the burning coals with his lips (Is.6:6-7), the Lord purifies His people who are stained with sin.
*Have I been purified by the fire of the altar, the burning coals of Jesus, and His precious blood?

2. Look at the cherubim and wheels (9-17)

There are wheels next to the cherubim. This means that they are mobile. * Are we mobile in our service to God? Are we following Jesus, the head?

3. The glory of the Lord rests at the east gate (18-22)

God is holy, so He wants us to be holy and is pleased with our spiritual fellowship. However, He is about to leave the temple of Jerusalem, which is stained with sin. If God leaves, life is despair. Sin brings miserable results, but repentance brings beautiful results. May the Lord of glory come again to be with us and pour out grace, and may you become blessed workers of the Lord. I pray in the name of Jesus, the life. Amen.
