Eze.29:1-21, Rely on one horn, not on a monster or reed staff,
Eze.29:1-21, Rely on one horn, not on a monster or reed staff,
Chs.29-32 are words of judgment on Egypt.
Today, ch.29 is a word of judgment on Egypt, which arrogantly says that it is the strongest monster and the creator of the Nile River.
God says that the king of Egypt is not a monster in the river, the strongest, but a powerless one thrown on the ground. And He says that it is nothing more than a reed staff. If you rely on it, you will suffer.
He also declares that He will destroy &desolate the king and Egypt who arrogantly says that he is the creator of the Nile River and the owner of the river. He also uses Babylon as a tool of judgment to destroy Egypt, and gives Egypt to Babylon as pay for their hard work in conquering Tyre. Israel(Judah) will be put to shame because they rely on Egypt. This is because Egypt is a powerless monster ¬hing more than a reed staff. Therefore, today, the saints must rely on the Messiah Jesus Christ, not Egypt(the world). He will come as one of David's horns (the Eternal King of the kings) and establish the kingdom of God.
Dear saints, let us all not rely on Egypt. Egypt, the world/money/power/knowledge/experience, etc., call himself great monster. He boast that he is the strongest.
However, God throws him to the ground and makes him into powerless monster on land that cannot even protect his own life. Egypt is also a reed staff(6-7). The moment you lean on it, it breaks. Egypt has no power to help. In the end, it is destroyed, and although it is restored, it becomes a weak country that cannot be relied on.
This is the world, power, and material things. Therefore, We must rely on the Messiah, Jesus Christ, who came with one horn.
I pray that you will live by relying entirely on Jesus Christ, the only author and perfecter of faith, and on Jesus and God, who are the only Way, Truth, and Life. Amen.
